Project Axolotl
Project Axolotl is a student developed prototype designed as part of an Applied Game Design unit at SAE University College.
In this project, we had to produce a prototype of a game that didn't just focus on fun, and instead relayed an important message, experience or lesson for our players (based on a subject of our choice). In this case, we are aiming to promote awareness for a critically endangered species known as the Axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum), an adorable species of Salamander.
Our game integrates mechanics that are specific to the Axolotl itself, as well as the main issues that have caused the destruction of their natural habitats.
At this stage we are still seeking feedback for further development of this prototype. If you have the time available, we would love to hear from you! Click HERE to be redirected to our Google Form.
Please note our game currently only has one level! :)
